Reward Radar is an independent guide to credit card rewards. We explain how rewards credit cards actually work — sign-up bonuses, category bonuses, cash back versus travel points — and we do the math on whether a card’s annual fee is really worth paying.
No hype, no jargon: just practical comparisons that help you choose cards that fit the way you already spend.
What we cover
- Rewards cards, compared honestly. Side-by-side looks at earning rates, welcome offers, redemption options, and the fine print that changes the real value.
- Cash back, simplified. Flat-rate cards, rotating categories, and tiered spending bonuses — and clear guidance on when each one wins.
- Travel points, demystified. How transfer partners work, what points are realistically worth, and when cash back is the smarter play.
- Fee trade-offs. We weigh annual fees against realistic rewards earned from typical spending, so you can see a card’s true net value before you apply.
Who is behind Reward Radar
Reward Radar is researched and written by Kevin Park. Kevin spends his time digging into rewards credit cards: comparing point values across transfer partners, reading the fine print on fee schedules, and testing whether headline rewards rates hold up for everyday spending.
He started Reward Radar because most card “reviews” read like advertisements. This site is the opposite: independent, math-first, and honest about when a popular card is a bad deal for you.
How we stay independent
Our comparisons are researched from issuer terms, published offer details, and historical rewards data. We do not sell placements or rankings, and our editorial process is documented in our Editorial Policy.
